Owl Pride

This season for the Bryn Mawr Owls Soccer team has been one for the books. Breaking boundaries seems to be the theme for our team. The team, however, is a different story. Rather than breaking boundaries this year’s team is starting to build upon the teams that have come before us. Evidence of that was present in this week’s games from a Win over McDaniel for the first time in BMC history and to our 0-0 tie in double overtime against Ursinus and Franklin and Marshall .
Though our roster seems to be sprinkled with injuries, including myself,  and suffering other personal losses ,there is only one thing that matters most when playing soccer and that’s heart. In all the teams I have played with I have never seen such a hunger and fight within a single team. We play, not only for the win, but for each other.
The conference should be prepared. The Owls are coming.

Weekend (Wedding) Adventures

This past week was definitely lack luster in comparison to the weekend I just had.

After snagging a W from our soccer game on Friday I jetted back home to sunny southern california for a super quick 24 hour stay. Now it wasnt for a home sick getaway, but for my cousin’s wedding!

Now if there is one thing my family can do is definitely throw a party or two. From the ceremony to the after party there was love everywhere.

(Left to Right: My middle sister Tiffany as a beautiful bridesmaid, The exchanging of the vows between my cousin Nathan and his bride Destiny, Finally husband and wife!)

Besides the celebration and champagne toasts, makeup and fall fashion were in full swing. I was even able to swap fashion tips and tricks with my brother’s wife, Sam, who directed me to possibly the greatest clothing website ever since my discovery of modcloth.

And it would not have been a killer wedding without some wedding crashers am I right? Now its time to wash out the hairspray, fling off the pumps, and get back to class!

Oh Hey There

It’s fitting for my first post to come at the end of the first week, so here it comes. With so much excitement in the air, whether its the beginning of the athletic season or the freshmen’s first experience with traditions at Parade Night , I know that everyone has been SUPER EXCITED about being back at Bryn Mawr. I’ve missed all of my friends and teammates so much this summer and I’m glad to be back “home”.And now that class schedules are just about set in stone its just about that time to relax (or sprint to practice haha).

Soccer preseason was out of control with adventures and shenanigans so who knows what the season has in store for these Bryn Mawr Owls. Even though I’m writing this from another state waiting to step onto a rival field for a soccer game I can’t wait to be back on campus and begin more adventures than any Mawrtyr can imagine.
